A medieval fortress with additions and refinements from the Tudor and Georgian periods. Features include a museum, Elizabethan long gallery, dungeons and gardens. It is open daily April to October, except Tuesday, and is located on a minor road from the village of Chatton off the B6348 between Wooler and the A1.
