Wark Castle

This castle blocked the main Scottish invasion point on the River Tweed, and probably saw more attacks and seiges from the 12th to 16th centuries than any other castle in the Borders. The low mound of the ruined keep is all that remains. Wark is on the B6350 road, 3 miles west of Cornhill on Tweed.
